Jesus told us not to listen when people claim it is the end because there are still things to do. If Jesus had been a coach, he probably would’ve added, “It ain’t over ’til it’s over.” And yet it seems almost natural for us to look at what’s ending and not what’s beginning. With that in mind, here’s your REAL Conversation for the week:
Why do some people focus on the “end” of the old and not the “beginning” of the new?
Answer this question with your family. Use it as a conversation starter to explore what Jesus meant about not giving up. As you’re doing that, remember what St. Paul told the Christians in Corinth: If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. ~2 Corinthians 5:17
When we place our trust in the Lord, we can overcome adversity because we understand that endings always bring new beginnings!
