Jesus challenged a young man to sell all his belongings and come follow Jesus – but the young man declined. Jesus may not challenge us to sell everything, but he does challenge us to make God and others our highest priorities, to the point where our possessions don’t even impact the decisions we make. So with that in mind, here’s your REAL Question for the week:

How important are your possessions to you and why?

Spend some time thinking about this question in regards to your own life and how where you focus your time and attention. As you’re grappling with this question, remember what we read in the first letter of John: “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” ~1 John 3:17
It’s all about where your priorities are!
