Mary said “yes” to God, raised a son who was much more than just a boy, and then supported him as he began the ministry that led to his death on a cross. She played a pivotal role, yet remained humble. When we start believing we’re the “main character,” we should stop and think about Mary! With that in mind, here’s your REAL Question for the new year:

What would Mary do?

As you’re thinking about how you can be more like Mary, remember what St. Paul wrote to the Philippians: Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. ~Philippians 2:3
It’s hard to fall into the trap of believing you’re the main character if you’re more concerned with blessing others and putting their needs before your own!
